Community of Practice (COP) support: 

Description: Communities of Practice are forming across the SU world which will bring together clusters of 8 Safeguarding Coordinators from National Movements within Community Groups. These will connect twice a year and be facilitated by 2 Child Protection Advocates.  

Opportunities for involvement: Working alongside a Child Protection Advocate you will gain a deeper understanding of the importance and outworking of Child Protection. In this role you will have the opportunity to create communication pieces, record and distribute shared decisions and actions, help plan the process for when the COP will gather, work on materials that will serve the CP needs within the community group.  

Skills to contribute: Administration, Creative Planning, Resource Creation

Level of SU Experience: Medium 

Time required: To be explored in consultation with the Ministry team. 

Market Squares: 

Description: 3 times a year, an online Market Square is created and promoted throughout the SU Global Family. Generally, 4 local resources are profiled each time with presenters giving a short description of the resource and answering questions in breakout rooms to follow.  

Opportunities for involvement: Liaising with and confirming potential presenters; designing and disseminating the promotional material, co-facilitating the market square, providing technical support, follow up to thank presenters and to ensure all resources are uploaded to the Extranet.  

Skills to contribute: Administration, communication software, technical expertise, gift of encouragement, presentation skills.  

Level of SU Experience: Low 

Sports Reporter/s 

Description & Opportunities for involvement: The Global Sports Network is one of the most strategic and expansive discipleship networks on the planet. An increasing number of SU movements are using these open-source resources and strategies to serve our mission. The task is to conduct an audit of the movements currently using Sports Ministry to assess the extent and diversity of the initiatives being utilised. From this to develop and distribute some ‘spotlight’ promotional pieces to inspire other movements to explore these opportunities.  

Skills to contribute: Administration, project management, storytelling, media production, marketing.

Level of SU Experience: Medium
