Scripture Union operates in over 120 countries around the world, actively introducing children, young people and families to Jesus and helping them to meet God through the Bible and prayer. Scripture Union was founded in 1867.
Scripture Union International is a UK based charity supporting this worldwide network of independent national SU movements in ministry, sustainability and through developing community and partnerships. We celebrate our 65th year anniversary this year.
Our Big Dream as children pray
On Saturday 29th March, 2025, children from all around the world gathered to pray – for their world and the work of Scripture Union with children.
This event, which was hosted by Scripture Union International, connected Hubs of children and adults from across the SU Global family to pray together and involved more than 40 people.
One of the event's coordinators, Becky Swamickan, said: "It was so so satisfying, as we heard them pray, be prepared with visuals and sing and praise God too. We're thankful to God for this special opportunity and we hope this will be just the start of future events through which God might move mountains!"
Children shared their dreams and prayers through words, pictures and song at the first Scripture Union Global Children's Day of Prayer.
